DT GROUPS
Over the summer, we’ll be having DT groups on Wednesdays and Thursdays. This is a good way to exercise what we learned this week in Truth Project — the best way to intimately know God is through his Word.

If you’re interested, please sign up!

JULY 4th CAMPING TRIP

Update (6/25): We got a house up at the Sierras — we’ll have to rough it out some other time!
In order to prepare for the trip (rides, food, etc), we need to know who wants to go ASAP. Please
sign up by tomorrow night!

Kairos' trip to the Sierras in 2008

This July 4th weekend, Kairos will be camping at the Sierras! Lodges and cabins are for the weak; we’ll be roughin’ it in the woods the real way — in tents! We’ll be leaving that Friday morning (7/3) and will be back Saturday night. (However, we need some real manly brothers to leave Thursday night to scout out and save spots for the rest of us. If you fit the description, please indicate that on the form.)

Who Had Fun at Magic Mountain?

The day has come and gone. And what a day it was! Who had fun at Magic Mountain? Post your responses here! What was your favorite ride and favorite moment of the trip? I personally had an awesome time. My favorite ride has got to be Tatsu (though x2 was a close second). And favorite moment? Seeing Johnny Yang with a pink cape trying to shoot 3-pointers. More pictures to come, but you can check out some here: GFC Magic Mountain Trip

MYT & Bible Study – Friday 6/12/09

Hey y’all. Note the slight change in time for Bible Study. This time around, we’re going to go straight up to 8:30pm for MYT, and then start Bible Study at 8:40pm. Check with your staff for more info about dinner. See you guys then!

Contest: 2 FREE Magic Mountain Tickets

Surely by now, all of you have heard about our trip to Magic Mountain this Monday. I don’t have to go into the details of how great of a deal this is. “How can it get any better” you ask? It just did. We’ll be giving out TWO FREE TICKETS to Magic Mountain. Excited? Here’s how you can participate:

Leave a comment on this post.*

Yup, it’s that easy. So, comment away** — contest ends this Sunday at 5pm.

* You can comment as many times as you like, but we’ll only count you once.
** Need a topic? Maybe you can mention your most memorable moment at Gracepoint Fellowship Church (or at Kairos/a2f) this past year.

MYT & Bible Study Tonight 6/5/09

Hey guys and gals. Summer is upon us, and we have a new and exciting Friday evening lined up each week. We’re going to start off with Multiply You Talents from 7-8:30pm, followed by large group Bible Study from 8:30-9:30pm. All will be held at First Presbyterian Church, located on the corner of Dana & Channing. Dinners will be with your home groups, so check with your leads for more info about where to meet for dinner. See you guys tonight!

College Bible Study this THUR. 8PM

Hello everyone! FYI, Bible Study will be on Thursday (today!) this week at North Loop. Come having eaten already. We will begin at 8pm. See you guys there!

30 Hour Famine

As many of you heard (and watched the trailer), we at Gracepoint Fellowship Church are participating in the 30 Hour Famine this year. The official day (er, 30-hour period) that we’re participating is on Sat, 6/27 @ 12am to 6/28 6am. However, before that day, you and I will be thinking of creative ways to raise money to help feed and care for children worldwide. During this process, we will gain more insight into what it feels like to experience hunger. Children all over the world are under-nourished — they go through days (and weeks and months) on end without food; we will do the same for a mere 30 hours.

Getting Started

Sign up on the Gracepoint website (or on one of the signup sheets). This allows us to keep track of how many participants are from our church.

Get a packet. It contains more info about this event, as well as a packet to place your donations. This is also useful because it gives you the group account number that’s needed for you to…

Create a donation page on the official website. This will allow you to collect funds online. Enter in your group account number (see above) here. After that, enter your information, and you’re good to go!

Get sponsors. Apart from receiving donations online, find creative ways to collect money. Check out the official Gracepoint famine site to get ideas.

Be inspired. Be active. Be hungry.

30 Hour Famine & SF Food Bank

Andy&Amy Jun 30 4
The 30 Hour Famine was really an eye-opening one.  I was particulary blown away by how much God can use people who are really committed to serving Him. I really felt like I did nothing, but God worked in the lives of people I asked for money and they generously contributed.  What really struck me [...]

About Us

We are a Christian campus fellowship at UC Berkeley (go Bears!). Not only do we learn about the relevancy of the Bible in today's day and age, but we live life together.

Kairos is Greek for "the right or opportune time."

We belong to the bigger family that is Gracepoint Fellowship Church, led by Pastor Ed and Kelly Kang.
