Sisters sleepover + study session

Some sort of performance that was done in an attempt to wow the crowd.

Some sort of performance that was done in an attempt to wow the crowd.

Last weekend after bible study all of the sisters, freshmen through seniors, went to Alameda to spend time together and have some fun. The evening began at Amy Tung’s house where the upperclassmen took turns in the kitchen turning out delicious quesadillas that were gobbled up as soon as they hit the serving plate (sorry for anyone who didn’t get any, I think I ate more than I was supposed to). After cooking we all sat around and ate together and talked and played a super exciting game of charades! I was on team one which proved to be the real #1 because we won (don’t be sad loser teams, we can have a rematch later)! For dessert we had delicious pastry fruit cups with ice cream and whipped cream and if we had any other type of cream I’m sure we would have put that on there too.

After games and food the freshmen and sophomores stayed at Amy’s house while the juniors and seniors went to Eunice Kim’s house where we stopped embarrassing stories until we were too tired to go on (I think I won that one too with my little swine flu confusion)! The next day, as the staff went off to their meeting, the rest of the girls studied and ate breakfast together. Later in the afternoon we went to Joy Luck Restaurant and ate Dim Sum yum! For me it was another culture shock and I was reminded that I like American Chinese food more than authentic Chinese food :)

After Dim Sum some girls returned to Berkeley while others went to North Loop to study while still others went to Willard to watch us lose the football game to USC — sorry guys better luck next time :( A great time was had by all (I’m assuming). My favorite part was definitely charades, some people get so excited and into it, which is great because I would never guess that someone waving their arms in a silly fashion is supposed to represent fireworks. I’m really looking forward to our next sisters outing. Later Days!

What is Kairos?

We are a Christian campus fellowship at UC Berkeley. We believe that the Bible is still very relevant in this day and age, and we live life and have fun together.

We belong to the bigger family that is Gracepoint - Berkeley, led by Pastor Ed and Kelly Kang.
