Baptism Sunday
Oct 6, 2009
This past Sunday was Baptism Sunday! From Kairos, Kevin Tan, Mike Park, Angel Lam, and I publicly professed our faith and celebrated our salvation with a total of 39 candidates. Praise God for so many people’s desire to proclaim and honor His work in our lives!
The true blessing about the baptism ceremony was being able to celebrate this day with a devoted community. My leaders and peers showered me with such an abundance of love, with joyful congratulations and hugs. I was reminded once again that throughout these past two years at Gracepoint, I could not have gotten this far without them, their support, their accountability, and their genuine love.
I no longer have to be insecure because of my flaws and inadequacies—God has truly provided a place where I can find contentment in who I am and how I lead my life. I will definitely be looking back on this day to keep me strong in times of doubt and to remember my commitment to our Lord. Thank You, God!

This is a story of how Christ changed our lives

It was truly a blessing listening to the baptism testimonies (especially many of them being my peers). It’s amazing how God leads us as individuals to him.
And that picture of Mike and Steve is pretty awesome. Poor Eunice though HAHAHAHA.
thank God for his faithfulness! congrats again guys!
Congratulations!! Baptism was truly amazing to watch =)
Congratulations to all those who were baptized! That mini-presentation with all of your posters was simply amazing. Seeing how God has literally transformed so many people just takes my breath away.
Congrats to Stephanie, Angel, Mike, and Kevin — as well as all the other candidates. Indeed, as the posters were being flipped for each person, I can’t help but wonder about their testimonies. Even for Tiffany, there’s a rich story behind her poster (crystalized down to “cowardly” and “bold”). I can’t wait to hear all the others!
Yeah Abe, It’s definitely a shame that we couldn’t hear all of the testimonies, but remember Pastor Ed said that we’ll hear more in the weeks to come! Think of how faithful God has been for us to have that many baptism candidates. I remember my own baptism and the faithfulness that God has provided in my life and just return to the point of thankfulness.
Thanks!!! Truly I feel so blessed to be lead to this point in my life and to be baptized with so many of my peers including someone in my own lifegroup! Wow, we’ve changed so much since freshman year, haha, and as so evident by everyone’s posters, It’s amazing to see how Christ transformed our lives! I’m excited to see how much more God will mold us spiritually!!!
