The rest who are going to the Sierras: it will be awesome.

Come join us this Saturday as we get away from the concrete suburbia to the wonderful woods of the Sierras! The poster above doesn’t do the trip much justice; to be honest, the much anticipated Cal vs. USC football game is just icing on the cake.
We’ll be staying staying at the Lodge and Barn, constructed and built by many people of Gracepoint Berkeley (from Pastor Ed Kang to the staff to many of the students). Not only is it on par with (and similar-looking to) ski resorts, there’s a lot of things you can do on just our property alone:

Robert at the archery range

Play basketball on our own courts, complete with lights

We'll be the first group to play on our new football/soccer field
Hiking / Land Exploration
Much of this trip is to also go hiking and explore the surrounding land. As a EECS grad and now working with computers all day long, the bright blue skies and the vibrant green fields and trees are a welcome change in scenery.
The details
Come visit this post again to find out what to bring and such, but remember to sign up below! In the meantime, I leave you with this video from our last trip to the Sierras (we won’t be kayaking this time around b/c the water will be freezing):
Signups are now closed
PS: If you want to know more about our past Sierra trips, you can read Chanhee’s post and a more introspective post by Kevin Tan.

Oh man, I hope Cal recovered from last week’s game!

Man, I love sierra lodge. Prepare for some awesome memory making moments!
And echoing Jackie, that poster is SWEET! I do think a little snow might help our chances…
exciting!
COOL POSTER!!!
Sierra Lodge should be nice this weekend! Though I would suggest bringing layers of clothing, I remember last year when we went around this time it was pretty cold during the hike..so be prepared! I am also excited to see all the changes at sierra lodge..i havent been up there since July so i’m looking forward to seeing the new patio, field, and basketball courts! oh, also i heard many students are stressed w midterms coming up, so if u want, u can bring ur books and study up at SL in the beautiful house!
that’s an incredible poster, but i hope cal comes out ahead this weekend! Regardless of the outcome fo the game, we’re going to have some serious fun! We even have lights for the basketball court so i know we’re planning to sleep late!! OH Yeah!
the field looks like it’ll be amazing
Yay! I’m so excited! Although someone will have to explain football to me again. I still don’t get it -_-
This is still my favorite “vintage sue” moment. Is this why Yang fled to Taiwan?
Check out the hi-res version of the USC vs. Cal football poster. You lose all the details in the poster shown above.
