Coming hot off the heels of New Student Welcome Night, we’ll be having our own Kairos Welcome Night this Thursday! Although it’s smaller in scale compared to NSWN, we’ll still be having a fun skit, a praise band, and a talk titled, “Why am I…” Plus, get to meet new people and enjoy free food! See you there!
On a separate note, we’ll be starting LIFE Groups this week. However, if you’re still interested, it’s not too late to sign up!
This Friday night, we at Kairos will be heading out to several hot spots in San Francisco. At Pier 39, we’ll be checking out Fisherman’s Wharf and the Krazy Hat Store. If the Kairos Ice Cream Challenge wasn’t enough for you, then try out Ghirardelli’s amazing Earthquake (but you don’t have to get it). And for the rest of us craving for some In-N-Out, we’ll go there as well. Rumor is we might go to other amazing places, so come join us!
We’ll be meeting at 7pm at the Underhill parking lot (Channing side). See you there!

Awesome shot of the music portion of our NSWN last night. There is another showing tonight at 7pm, Pauley Ballroom, so don’t miss out! Last night it was packed, and we had to kick out and turn away people. So make sure to come early!
It’s only Thursday and already it’s been an action-packed week! We started off the week with Sundaes on Monday.
Our very own David Park stepped up to the challenge and won a t-shirt! Four scoop ice cream banana split in under 8 minutes!
Next up that evening was Boba and Boardgames.
Apparently Stephen is pretty confused about Joyce’s Charoodle game-playing skills. She doesn’t look too confident, either.
Then we ended the evening with the ever-awesome game of King Kong Shower. What’s your move?
Tuesday evening at the Kairos Karnival, Lucky Angel wont a Cal football used by the Cal Football team, and signed by the one and only Jahvid Best! Too awesome! Your balloon hat is almost as awesome, too!
Once again, be sure to check out the last showing of New Student Welcome Night, tonight! We’re going to have an SF trip this Friday evening as well, so you don’t want to miss that either. Hope everyone is have a good first week of class so far!
So…. this Monday right after the Sundaes on Monday event Kairos had another event called BOBA AND BOARDGAMES!!!
We had a fun filled night with many games including Guesstures, Charoodle, Cranium, Scrabble, Jenga, Taboo, Monopoly, Dominion, and of course FREE BOBA! There were a lot of new people at this event and as you can tell from the upcoming pictures, when Kairos has a Boba and Boardgames event…. you don’t wanna miss out.
So of course there was boba! (More photos after the jump.)
It’s been a exciting week here for students coming to Cal and just as exciting for us here at Kairos. This Monday at Kairos we had an exciting event called “Sundaes on Monday” where new students came and enjoyed some ice cream sundaes while playing games, stuffing themselves with chocolatey goodness, and meeting other students and Cal alumni. We had a great time and met tons of friends.
On top of that we had an extreme event called the Kairos Challenge. The point of this challenge was to eat 4 large scoops of ice cream with all the fixings under 8 minutes. If you finished it you got a free Kairos Challenge t-shirt! Sounds easy and doesn’t look that hard…. but boy it wasn’t easy haha.
Here’s a picture of the competitors from the first round (They look a bit nervous )
Worldview Conference w/ Del Tackett, Father Sirico & Others
What is Kairos?
We are a Christian campus fellowship at UC Berkeley. We believe that the Bible is still very relevant in this day and age, and we live life and have fun together.
