News this week & MYT Session 2
Jul 7, 2009
Hi all, it’s been a rather long — but fun — weekend! Here’s what’s going on this week:
Tuesday (TODAY), 7pm @ First Pres: Instead of our usual prayer meeting, we’ll be having our Gracepoint Bi-Monthly here in Berkeley. This is when we gather as a church and talk about what has been happening in the various ministries over the past two months. Moreover, our theme is “Growing Up,” and you’ll get to hear testimonies from different people in the ways in which they grew up. After all, there is no “spiritual tree” that pumps out spiritual people; we were all at one point immature and spiritually dead, and it’s only through certain decisions and milestones (multiply that by time) that people have become the way they are today. So, if you’re around, please join us!
Friday, 7pm @ First Pres. No MYT this week. Instead, we’ll be having Bible Study at that time, followed by a special time of praise, testimony, and message by Pastor Jon Choi and the Eight Hour Shift! Dinner plans TBA by your Kairos group.
Sunday, 12:30pm @ Alameda. Home church with your respective Kairos group. Please contact your staff for rides details.

Starting next week, we’ll be having a second round of Multiply Your Talent. The classes are:
- Audio systems
- Photography
- Beginning Photoshop
- Intermediate Photoshop
- Pro-Presenter
Check out this page for more details on each of the classes. Since the signups are now closed, please email myt2009info@gmail.com to sign up!
Finally, if you haven’t already, please be sure to sign up for the Sophomore/Discipleship Retreats!

Oh man, it’s been a while since I’ve seen Pastor Jon Choi. I’m excited to hear about this – I remember we had a two day GTS with him, but I’ve never head him give a message before. This should be good.
please post thoughts and pics after Friday’s time with Pastor Jon Choi. would love to hear about it! =)
wow, susan– you are such a faithful commentator on our blog!
btw, happy belated birthday!! Joyce Yen shared last night at our GP Bimonthly how you and her were a dynamic duo when doing DC outreach– it’s amazing to hear all these stories about Taiwan. Stay strong & we will keep praying for you guys!
Just FYI — for those who read this blog on FRIDAYS — we have chair setup @ 6 at D-House. Please come by if you can make it!
After Bible Study, we’re going to have our Northloop cleaning, grab some ice cream, and play KING OF THE HILL (ping pong) and KNOCK OUT (basketball)!
Oooh, lookin forward to seeing Pastor Jon Choi!
