June Recap
Jun 29, 2009

Coming off the heels of the a2f blue/Kairos merger, senior graduations, and the creation of this new site — all in May — here’s what we did in June. Click on the pictures to read the articles.

Home Church with Steve & Eunice’s group

Memorial Day Picnic. Many highlights, one of which is Sue at the bat (pictured above).

Magic Mountain trip. Congratulations to Jenny and David for winning free tickets. Students and staff wrote about their experience here.

We had our Worldview Camp, led by Sean McDowell, followed immediately by Impact 2009!

Last but not least, we experienced the 30 Hour Famine here at Kairos. In addition to going door-to-door and selling snowcones, we finished the Famine by helping out at the food bank, which you can read more of here and here. All in all, Gracepoint Fellowship Church (Berkeley and SF) raised over $110,000 this year! Amazing!

Wow we did a lot! I’ve been busier in the summer than in the school year haha. Don;t forget we also had many people volunteer for the ImpACT summerfest which was the precursor and the recruiting for ImpACT 2009.
June was definitely a packed month–cant believe that it’s already over! In addition to all of the above, our church also had the Honduras mission trip, the farewell of Ken & Carmen, and the return of many of our Taiwan missionaries. If you havent gotten a chance yet, be sure to say hi to them and ask them about their experience in Taiwan this past year!
Wow, I can’t believe all this happened in just one month! I’m especially amazed that we beat last year’s 30 Hour Famine amount in this economy.
aw, reminiscing.
